Happy last day of September! We are taking down our leaves and fall decorations and changing them for Halloween! Today, we are finishing our story "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse," so look for the books in your child's folder tonight. We are also taking a mid-chapter Math Test today on Patterns!! The students are doing a good job learning about patterns!
Congratulations to Luci, Jaden, Henry, Brenna, Kole, Emma, and Julie for being the first students to complete their punch card! These students were able to pick from the Treasure Chest on Monday for a special treat for their awesome behaviors for the first 20 days of school! Keep up the good work!
Today in school, we will be finishing our book, "The Nightingale." Be sure to go over the story at home with your child. We will also be working on some patterns with Johnny Appleseed! Today in school, we are going to learn about Johnny Appleseed. We will read a story about how he traveled around the country planting orchards. We will also get to try a slice of three different types of apples!
Happy first day of fall! K6 is starting to look like fall. The students made their own falling leaves to hang from the ceiling and they look great! We finished the story "Jingles, Poems, and Rhymes" yesterday which means we'll start a new story today. Our story for the next three days is called "The Nightingale." Ask your child tonight what the story was all about! We are starting a new chapter in Math today as well. We will be looking at patterns. Try and look for any patterns you may find in your house!
Have a great weekend! The students in K6 have been working really hard and staying very busy. We are getting used to all the school rules and getting into our routine.
