The first marking period is just about over and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Today, we had a wonderful day at school with our Halloween celebration! We had a great week here in K101! We have been learning about Cass and the letter C. Today, we learned about pumpkins and how they grow!
Today we will be reading our last book in the Happily Ever After reading series called ABC Book!
I am excited to get started with the Superkids on Monday and the students are too! We will be finishing up our math chapter this week on pattern The middle of the first marking period was today and the students have been learning so much in Kindergarten. We are almost finished with our Happily Ever After series and I can't wait to start the Superkids! We had a very eventful week! We have been practicing with patterns and even used ice cream scoops to help us. We celebrated Johnny Appleseed day by tasting different apples and graphing which ones were our favorite! The kids have had wonderful behavior in the month of September and all 21 of us have earned the PRIDE program which will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd. We will be going out to the softball field for some activities!
Don't forget to have your child wear blue on Monday for our Stomp Out Bull Today was a rainy Tuesday! We learned the letters I, J, and K. We also took a Math Test and used our new offices! We heard a story about Pete the Cat which had a fun song to go along! The kids loved it! We had our first inside recess today and the students enjoyed playing with play-dough!
I can't believe the second week of school is just about over. We have had a very successful two weeks of school in room K-101! The students are becoming very adjusted with the routine and classroom rules! They also have been doing a great job with their classwork and homework! Keep up the good work kids! :)
Phew! What a day in Kindergarten! This morning, we took a tour of our new school and found where all the important places are! We read a story called "The Kissing Hand" and did a couple activities! We tried writing our names and drew a picture about how we looked on the first day of school! The students did a great job today! I am looking forward to the rest of the school year!
What a great day today! I was super impressed with all my new Kindergarten students!!! Thank you to everyone who came today! I enjoyed meeting everyone today, both students and parents! See you Monday morning!
Happy August to all my new Kindergarten Friends!! As the summer comes to a close, I am getting myself and the classroom ready for a new school year! This will be my first year in K101 after spending two years in K6! I'm excited and looking forward to meeting my new students and parents on August 23rd for Kindergarten Orientation! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
I've noticed that it has been awhile since I updated our page! I hope everyone had a nice Easter break! I did! We came back to school on Thursday and had a great day! We earned our 20th ticket in the jar for quiet walking in the hall and good behavior at co-curricular! We will be having an ice cream party in school today! We will also start to work towards our next goal of 25 tickets. We started practice for our Kindergarten Show on Thursday as well. We are doing the theme "Celebrate America!" This will be a great show and I hope all the parents can come out to watch us perform on May 29th! More information will be coming home about what time we will be performing!
